Padma Vibhushan Award: राष्ट्रपति भवन में पद्म पुरस्कार वितरण समारोह का आयोजन किया जा रहा है. राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने पूर्व उप-राष्ट्रपति एम. वेंकैया नायडू, भरतनाट्यम नृत्यांगना डॉक्टर पद्मा सुब्रमण्यम को पद्म विभूषण किए हैं. बता दें, पद्म पुरस्कार देश का सर्वोच्च नागरिक पुरस्कार हैं जो तीन श्रेणियों पद्म विभूषण, पद्म भूषण और पद्मश्री में प्रदान किये जाते हैं। इन पुरस्कारों की घोषणा प्रतिवर्ष गणतंत्र दिवस पर की जाती है.

डॉ बिंदेश्वर पाठक (मरणोपरांत) को राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू से पद्म विभूषण प्राप्त हुआ. वह 'सुलभ इंटरनेशनल के संस्थापक थे, उन्होंने दुनिया भर में स्वच्छता स्थापित की - 'सुलभ शौचालय' की शुरुआत की, हाथ से मैला ढोने वालों की मुक्ति के लिए काम किया.
